North Carolina election officials are investigating a mailer sent by a conservative advocacy group funded by Art Pope and the Koch brothers that contained misinformation about voter registration. Facing South has identified at least three other states where people also received inaccurate mailings from the group -- and one of those efforts involved an attempt to strike people from voter rolls.

As the North Carolina legislative session draws to a close, Moral Monday organizers are planning a mass protest on June 23 involving sit-ins and teach-ins inside the legislative building to begin the voter mobilization work leading up to the Nov. 4 election.

Democracy North Carolina has found that the lawmakers appear to have duplicate voter registrations in other states. The watchdog group says the finding challenges the claim of some of the lawmakers' colleagues that double registrations are "proof positive" of voter fraud.
