February 2, 2006 - Promoters have announced the preliminary lineup for the 2006 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, June 16-18 in Manchester, Tenn. According to this Billboard article, "though Bonnaroo's roots are firmly planted in the jam-band scene, this year's lineup tilts more toward mainstream and indie rock..."

January 31, 2006 - The New York Times had an interesting article last week about a survey of 2660 day laborers at 264 hiring sites in 20 states across the country. Among the findings were that 75% of day workers are illegal immigrants, and that most are Hispanic.
