Shivali Shah is one of the co-founders of Kiran: Domestic Violence and Crisis Services for South Asians in North Carolina and sits on its Board of Directors. At Duke University, she received a J.D. from the School of Law and a G. Cft. from the Department of Women’s Studies. She is currently teaching in the Political Science Department at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. and surveying women on dependent spouse visas, such as the H-4. visa. (2005)
