Alonzo D. Lamont, Jr.

Alonzo D. Lamont, Jr. was born in Baltimore, where he lives at the moment. He has also lived in Florida and Washington, D.C. The recipient of numerous awards and grants, the playwright has seen his shows produced from Washington to Venice, California. His work has frequently been staged by Atlanta's Jomandi Productions (see article p. 54). Lamont's plays include That Serious He-Man Ball, 21st Century Outs and Back, and The Black Play. He is currently working on a script titled Good Humor During Bad Monsoons. (1986)
