Alferdteen Harrison

Alferdteen Harrison, a Mississippian who attended Piney Woods School from 1953 to 1957, is director of the Institute for the Study of the History, Life and Culture of Black People at Jackson State University. She is completing an oral history research project entitled “Piney Woods Community Relations.” This interview is similar to many that will be represented in a forthcoming publication entitled “A Folk Community School with Oral Reminiscences.” (1980)
