October 14, 2022 - A third of U.S. anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers are in the South, a region where dozens of abortion clinics have closed since the Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to an abortion in June. Over the past decade, Republican-controlled legislatures have given millions of tax dollars to these fake clinics that traffic in dangerous misinformation.

July 17, 2019 - Religious organizations posing as licensed health facilities, so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" peddle misinformation to discourage people from seeking abortion. Yet some Southern states are funding these fraudulent clinics with taxpayer money — and now the North Carolina legislature wants to give them even more. 

April 26, 2019 - In a year of harsh anti-abortion bills, one introduced in Texas went furthest of all by allowing women who end a pregnancy to be put to death. The bill's sponsor — a quadruple divorcee whose first wife sought a restraining order against him — is a major recipient of contributions from a fracking services billionaire and religious sect leader who's become a leading funder of radical anti-abortion groups and candidates.
