Voting Rights Watch: Virginia officials warn of bogus calls about polling places
Virginia elections officials are warning of automated telephone calls giving voters bad information about polling places, the Associated Press reports. If a voter's polling place has changed, he or she won't be notified by a robo-call, the officials say.
Virginia voters can check their polling place online here or by calling toll-free 1-800-552-9745.
The bogus phone calls come one day after Virginia authorities declined to press charges over fliers distributed in the Hamptons Road area giving Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents the wrong date for Election Day.
