Election 2008: Will North Carolina go blue in 2008?
Who will win North Carolina -- John McCain or Barack Obama? Under the Dome at the Raleigh News & Observer surveys the opinion of 24 political pundits (including yours truly).
The results are about as close as the race itself:
9 say Obama will win
5 say it's too close to call
9 say McCain will win
Dome correctly says that I think the North Carolina race now "leans Obama," but I'm not in the "Obama win" column yet.
My favorite polling and projection site, 538.com, seems to agree: as of today, that site's numbers show North Carolina as the 2nd-tightest race in the country -- right behind Florida.
