Thank you, readers!
Thanks to you, our loyal readers, for making September a record-setting month here at Facing South.
Yesterday we cleared 50,000 unique visitors for the month, and are closing in on a total of 100,000 visits (we're now at 96,000+) and 350,000 page views (339,000+ now) for September.
We're on course to break our earlier records set in April/May when our investigation into illegal and deceptive voting practices in North Carolina ignited a national firestorm.
In the coming month, we'll be expanding our one-of-a-kind coverage of Election 2008 -- where the South could play a decisive role -- and voting rights. We'll also continue to keep a close eye on Gulf Coast recovery, energy politics and other key Southern issues.
Facing South's in-depth coverage is unique -- and it takes time and money. We'll soon be launching our annual fundraising drive to support the Institute Investigative Fund. If you like what you see and appreciate having a fresh voice for the South, please consider making a contribution to support independent media in the South.
As always, thanks for your support.
