Heading to the Gulf
Thanks in large part to the generous support of you, our readers, we're making another fact-finding trip to the Gulf Coast this week, as part of our Gulf Coast Reconstruction Watch project.
It's been almost 6 months since Hurricane Katrina hit, and five months since President Bush declared "we will do what it takes, we will stay as long as it takes, to help citizens rebuild their communities and their lives." We'll be meeting with community leaders in New Orleans and coastal Mississippi to see how things are going.
What issues would you like us to check out? What dirt should we dig up? What stories need to be told? Let us know in the comments, we'd love to hear your ideas.
