Mark Twain once said "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." As someone frequently known to ignore good advice, it looks like I'll be hanging out here for a while. Thanks to Chris and Facing South for the kind introduction and for the invitation to be a regular here. These folks do good work on behalf of the progressive South (yeah, there are actually quite a few of us down here) and I'm happy to contribute in whatever small way I can.
